Surgery for the cat named "Bear"
An Update on Bear - Bear will be re-evaluated Tuesday morning, May 1. We anticipate his surgery will cost more, as we're told he needs a different vet. We've received so many wonderful donations, and are so grateful. We'll let you know the status of Bear, and the updated cost for his surgery. Again thank you so much for your kind help for Bear!
--------------------------------------

Bear was born in Sept 2005, bottle raised as a FuRR foster kitten, after he was found all alone by a city worker at the age of 5 days. Bear has had a nasal polyp problem since Fall 2011.

A specialist removed the polyp in January, and fortunately it was not cancerous, but it couldn't all be removed at that time. The polyp has since grown back, and is affecting the left side of Bear's face, blocking the nostril, and causing difficulty breathing and swallowing. Another surgery is planned to get the rest of the growth. However, including an MRI and surgery, that would total around $700, an estimate, assuming all goes well.

Bear is a VERY loving and extremely sociable cat, who gives hugs around your neck. This is an opportunity to save this wonderful cat who has a happy home. Bear is a little over 5 years old and FuRR is raising money to pay for Bear's treatment.
