Bullett the Cat - Shot Near Sheridan
Bullett is an orange tabby with some white highlights, who was shot and injured. He was a stray in a small town 10 miles outside of Sheridan, AR. A resident is said to shoot any animals that get on his property, dogs or cats, pets or wild. Fortunately "Bullett" picked a different yard, a good yard, to find shelter and help.

The bullet entered his left hind leg and shattered the tibia into over 35 pieces and the leg was twisted out of position. The kind people into whose yard he came called their daughter, who contacted FuRR. She then contacted FuRR and took him to one of our FuRR veterinarians in Little Rock.

Bullett spent his first 4 days being stabilized, xrayed and treated with antibiotics. He was then transferred to another FuRR vet for surgery. He had to be treated first for a fever which developed, and then on the 6th day his leg was amputated. A bit confused at first but hopefully happily living in less pain, he left the veterinarian's office two days aftersurgery to go to a loving foster home where he will recuperate.

This brave boy was named Bullett, and even the first day after surgery he was walking around in his cage, eating well, and wanting lots of petting and attention.

After he has completely recovered he will be available for adoption to a 100% inside home. Bullett was initially treated and stabilized at GreenMountain Animal Hospital, then taken for surgery to Pinnacle Valley Animal Hospital (pinnaclevalleyanimalhospital.com), with Dr. Cole Bierbaum, 501-868-7375.
